Healing Rooms were founded by John G Lake in Spokane, Washington, USA, in the early 1900s.
During one five year period, 100,000 confirmed healings were recorded, resulting in Spokane being declared the healthiest city in the world.
In 1999, the Lord led a man named Carl Pierce to re-open the Healing Rooms in Spokane, on the original site used by John G Lake. Since then, thousands of people have received healing through this ministry, and many other Healing Rooms have been opened around the world as part of the International Association of Healing Rooms IAHR. Worldwide there are 672 Healing Rooms in 39 nations all linked together through the IAHR.
The first IAHR registered Healing Room in the UK was opened in Halifax, West Yorkshire in January 2003.
The National Association of Healing Rooms for England NAHR is now based in Halifax and is part of the IAHR.
